2013 ICAST Eye Catcher: Reaction Strike Revolution Rat

Being the fortunate Neanderthal I am, at ICAST 2013 I was able to see many of the new products the fishing industry has in store for us anglers in the near future. The “ICAST Eye Catcher” series features many of the most innovative and interesting of those new offerings. So, for those of you who couldn’t attend, enjoy!

Reaction Strike Revolution Rat
There probably isn’t a lake in the 50 United States that doesn’t have a colony of rats living in the proximity. Knowing that Bass will eat anything that touches the water, and that rats are pretty good swimmers, it only makes sense that the small rodents are on the menu. Armed with this information, bait companies have wisely made rat-imitating baits the past several years that shrewd anglers have added to their arsenal. Leave it to Reaction Strike (a subsidiary of Trophy Technologies, LLC, the parent of Castaic Swimait Company) to come up with their own version that actually has the feel and softness of a real rat. The Revolution Rat, much like the Revolution Frog introduced last year, can be fished in the heaviest of cover and the thickest of grass. Fisherman friendly pricing, combined with monster fish strike-inducing action and numerous enticing color patterns, should make this lure as big a success as it’s Reaction Strike sibling. Due in stores early 2014. MSRP $5.99
