2013 ICAST Eye Catcher: Molix Frog

Being the fortunate Neanderthal I am, at ICAST 2013 I was able to see many of the new products the fishing industry has in store for us anglers in the near future. The “ICAST Eye Catcher” series features many of the most innovative and interesting of those new offerings. So, for those of you who couldn’t attend, enjoy!

Molix Frog
Molix made some serious waves in the fishing world with their Supernato soft-bodied frog crankbait. It was enough to have bass angling rock star Mike Iaconelli hop on board as a member of their Pro Staff. This year, they are bringing out the Baby Supernato to help you match the hatch. However, it was the latest offering from the Italian company that caught our attention – the new Molix Frog. In addition to the realistic patterns and incredibly lifelike body, they have given you a choice of legs to use that can be changed out in a matter of seconds! When on more open water, the internally reinforced silicone legs make the frog swim and hop in a very natural way. Though, if the water surface is too matted up where you’re fishing, just switch out to the matched double skirt and work it through the thick stuff. Either way, you’ll be fishing a frog with a genuine look, feel, and action. Anticipate this one to be released by this Fall. MSRP $9.99
