If you want a solid rattle bait that doesn’t break the bank and catches fish, this is the one. I’ve caught many solid LMB on these lures, especially when nothing else seems to be working.
They are good to go right out of the box … never had to tune one yet. The hooks are plenty sharp and penetrate well. However, they do seem to be slightly on the flimsy side, but I’ve never had one straighten out on me. Besides, most anglers will change out the hooks on their hardbaits anyway. If these came with the perfect hooks I would have given them 5 clubs.
You can cast these puppies a country mile. Just let them drop to the desired depth and then find the retrieve the Bass are favoring. You’ll definitely find the fish!
Some reviewers have complained about the paint chipping off of these. But, I find that to be a common problem of almost all hardbaits (if you are fishing them correctly) … even expensive ones. Nothing a little paint and clear lacquer won’t cure.
I like the Emerald Shiner (02), Crystal Shad (69), and Chartreuse Shad (44). Just find the colors that would work best in your area and hold on tight. Because the fish DO NOT hit these timidly.
