90 Minute Magic

Was running around doing errands yesterday when I suddenly found myself with a free 90 minutes.  Of course I headed straight to Westlake, excited by the fact that it was the third consecutive +80° day … hoping that would be enough to bring the fish in shallow.
Sure enough, when I hit the Eastern bank of the lake, I saw a 5+ pounder cruising the flats. Unfortunately, she didn’t want to play.
I then flipped a Mad Melon Kinami Flash next to a dock and got picked up on the sink. WHAM! I set the hook on a nice 2.5+ chunky monkey.

Also, ended up with a nice 2 pounder on a drop-shot Curly Tail Roboworm.

Managed a couple of other strikes, but couldn’t connect.
Not complaining, though. It was a fun detour on my daily rounds.
